Episode Synopsis:
Bam is joined in the studio by Jonny Radtke (formerly of Kill Hannah), Jonny’s girlfriend Jess, and Bartholomew Cummins… aka Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars. Bam and Jared talk about the band’s recent trip to Greenland courtesy of settlement money from a lawsuit with an unnamed fast-food franchise. Jonny tells us where his favorite line, “Hold my beer while I fuck your girlfriend in the bathroom,” came from just before Jared talks about his bout with food poisoning from the 101 Café in LA and his strange hand-washing obsession that developed shortly after. Bam discusses 30STM’s new album and his experience of helping to pick out the new single from the album before playing the two songs he thinks are the top contenders. Bam and Leto talk about humiliating movie auditions and what lengths some people will go to in order to get a role in a movie. The crew discusses actors who decide in the middle of their career to start bands, and how some really can’t be taken seriously… and then we learn that Death Cab for Cutie doesn’t take Mr. Bartholomew Cummins seriously because he does movies. Bam tells us why 30STM’s guitar player’s name is the only name he’s never forgotten, and a big mystery unfolds about April’s conversation with Jared a while ago. Jared lets it slip that he and Dr. Drew are working on a book together, and Bam finally ends out the show with another 30STM song.
